Covington - Robert B. Flora, 87, a life resident of Covington who had resided the past 3 years with his son in Zionsville, died at 2:30 a.m. July 21, 1996 in St. Vincents Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born Oct 6, 1908 in Covington, son of Franklin W. and Effie Bowser Flora. He married Lillian F. Wilkenson March 31, 1940 in Covington. She preceded him July 26, 1992. He worked for 10 years at Flexel-Film Division (Olin) in Covington, retiring in 1970. He attended Covington United Methodist Church. He was a former member of Covington Masonic Lodge and enjoyed woodworking and refinishing furniture. Surviving are a son, Gary (Jennifer) of Zionsville; a agranddaughter, Michelle (Bryan) Marsh, Plainfield; a sister, Mildred Davidson, Elmhurst, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Janice Dodds in 1983; two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Covington Unitedd Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Burial in mt. Hope Cemetgery, Covington, DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga in charge of arrangements.
